The APRIL group was founded in 1988 by Bruno Rousset and Xavier Coquard, headquartered in Lyon. Its international arm, APRIL International, was created in 2000 through the acquisition of AIPS, the leading French broker for expatriates.
Today it insures 150,000 members with cover in 180 countries, works with more than 5,000 partner insurance professionals and covers 1,500 companies. It has a physical presence in 16 countries, with offices in Paris, London, Montreux, Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Mexico City.
It specialises in international health insurance and death and disability benefits, for expatriates, travellers, students, interns, business travellers, employees and retirees.
The parent APRIL group employs 3,300 people, operates in 25 countries and reported turnover of €907m in 2025.
