Ethniki Asfalistiki has operated in the Greek market since 1891, making it the country's oldest insurer still in business. It is headquartered at 103-105 Syngrou Avenue in Athens and operates as a Greek general insurance corporation.
It serves more than 1.9 million policyholders today. Over the past two decades it has paid €9.4bn in claims — a figure that speaks both to the breadth of the portfolio and to consistency in settling.
In 2025 it was ranked in the top 5% of companies worldwide in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment. It offers a full set of digital services: the MyEthniki app and web portal, WebPay for online payments, and the e-Omadika platform for group policies.
