PassportCard was founded in 1999 by Alon Ketzef as part of the DavidShield Group. It started from one question: what if accessing healthcare abroad were as easy as using a local debit card.
Its model is the differentiator: instead of paying and claiming back, the card is loaded at the point of care — no paperwork, no waiting.
It serves 2 million insured individuals and over 1,200 corporate accounts, with coverage across more than 150 countries. It runs operation centres in Hamburg, Tel Aviv and Sydney, coordinated by a Global Situation Room.
It is majority-owned by White Mountains Insurance Group, listed on the NYSE (WTM).
